Key Stage 4 Educational Site Visit - Vinci Construction

Six of our Construction BTEC pupils had the opportunity to visit a Vinci Construction site in Ellesmere Port.

The visit started with a site Induction and introduction to the project from the Contracts Manager which included site safety information and awareness.

The electrical sub-contractor then carried out a presentation of Employment and Apprenticeship opportunities that are available to our pupils. A site tour was then carried out enabling our pupils to view multiple aspects of the construction including bricklaying, sequence of building, partitions, mechanical and electrical installation and raised access flooring installation. To end the visit, they were given a physical session on pipe crimpling.

The feedback from the pupils and staff, as well as Vinci Construction has been positive and all pupils really enjoyed the experience.
