KS2 'No Outsiders' Poetry Project

POETRY PROJECT 2022

Our Key Stage 2 pupils recently took part in a ‘Poetry Project’ for all Cheshire schools. The project is a collaboration between the Cheshire Academies Trust, The Literacy Company and No Outsiders, with the aim of encouraging Year 5 pupils to create and write engaging and thought provoking poetry linked to the theme of Refugees.

Our pupils spent time in the classroom working through the unit and writing their own poems. They all put in loads of effort and their final poems are something they can be proud of!

Each school was then able to choose a pupil to represent their school at a public reading of their poem at the Storyhouse in Chester on Friday 1st April. Big congratulations to Max, whose poem was chosen to represent Archers Brook at the event.
