Mental Health Support Team (MHST) Mental Health Champions Children's Mental Health Week

Here at Archers Brook, we have endeavoured to create a system that supports children’s mental health and wellbeing that utilises the eight principals from Public Health England and DfE approach for schools.

Our referral system allows pupils to gain access to our MHFA trained staff and holistic therapists.  The MHFA trained staff, who are our first point of contact, can lead pupils through the appropriate supports available.

Biannual all pupils undertake the PASS survey – Pupils Attitude to Self and School.  This is then used to form a focus group of around 8-10 pupils that undertake various MHFA programmes and MHST workshops throughout the year.

We have also secured access to the NHS MHST for our school who can undertake one to one sessions, group workshops and provide access to professional services.
