Well Done Dan!
A big well done to Dan Hindley, one of our year 11 pupils who has been attending the New Noise Music Centre where he has been given the opportunity and experience of playing alongside fellow musicians. His current project finished last weekend where he played in his first public performance in front of a large audience.
The New Noise Music Centre is a music centre to support the next generation of music makers. It is a space for young people aged 11-16 to experiment across a range of instruments and music-making techniques. They offer opportunities for a range of rock and pop musicians as well as the production side such as sound and lighting.
Dan started going to the music centre back in April every Saturday afternoon to play the guitar, he has made new friends as well as having the opportunity to play alongside musicians of the same age with the support of adult experts. Dan has been playing the guitar in school for a couple of years now and it has become an important part of his life, some might say it a bit of an obsession! Dan is going to Wirral Met College is September where he will get plenty of chances to continue to play the guitar, we wish him all the best for his future music making.
